Empires by Comparison – New “Widget”

Since we’re famous here at TUSH.0 … we get contacted all the time. Some want to sell their products online; others hope we’ll mention their book. And then sometimes we get neat new resource information that could perhaps help us teach better. Here is one from findthedata.org. They collect, collate, and display various information about … well, just about anything. Here is one example on the comparative sizes of empires. If you know of any other resources that can help us organize and show data, please let us know.

  1. What a fantastic tool, although by looking at the fact that the American Empire reached its peak in 1899, we must question the definition of “empire” they are using. Nevertheless, we can, and should, question the make up of quantitative data endlessly, but they do bring certain things to light!
